WHEELS TO WORK DERBYSHIRE
It
has made me prove to all my friends and family that I can be independent
and mature
It has changed my working life for the better
I recently acquired a job some twelve miles from home and
whilst I managed to get there initially, I had difficulties. I
was then introduced to the Wheels to Work scheme and these were
resolved. Now thanks to the scheme I have a very great chance to stabilise
my life and enjoy term full time work.
The Wheels to Work Derbyshire team are very helpful and nothing
is too much trouble for them to resolve, quickly and efficiently.

WHEELS TO WORK NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
Danny
lived with his father in Clipstone. Unemployed since leaving school,
Danny gained an apprenticeship with a building firm based in Papplewick.
He needed to get himself to work each day by 7am. This was a problem
as there was no public transport at that time of day. Although
his boss was pleased with him, his late arrivals on site were
causing issues after just 2 weeks. He looked at sharing lifts
with a colleague but this was not practical. Danny applied to
Wheels to Work, was interviewed, and accepted once his reference
was received. Danny
now has his moped and gets to work with ease, and on time! His
boss is happy with him and he is committed to completing his apprenticeship
and furthering a career in the construction industry. He’s saving
hard for a moped of his own and hopes to buy a 125cc bike, and
return his moped to W2W to use to help another client out.
